🔥 Classic Mongolian Beef
Ingredients
500g flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
3 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1/3 cup Tweed Real Food Honey Garlic Splash - https://borderranges.com/products/honey-garlic-splash-balsamic-vinegar
2 Tbsp hoisin sauce
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp grated ginger
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1–2 tsp rice vinegar
Scallions, for garnish
Directions
Coat beef with cornstarch.
Sear in hot oil until crisp.
Remove and set aside.
Whisk sauce ingredients, simmer until thickened.
Return beef, toss to coat.
🌶️ Spicy Mongolian Beef
Ingredients
(As above)
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1–2 tsp chili paste
Directions
Follow Classic recipe, adding chili paste to sauce for extra heat.
🥕 Mongolian Beef with Vegetables
Ingredients
(As Classic)
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup capsicum slices
- 1/2 cup snow peas
Directions
Stir-fry vegetables first, remove.
Cook beef, then return veg with sauce and toss.
🐢 Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef
Ingredients

2 Tbsp hoisin sauce
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp garlic
1 Tbsp ginger
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1–2 tsp rice vinegar
Directions
Coat beef with cornstarch.
(Optional) Sear briefly.
Add to slow cooker with sauce.
Cook LOW 4–5 hrs or HIGH 2–3 hrs.
